Silvia Palacios Flores has a Law Degree from the Charles III University of Madrid and has been a practising lawyer since 2005. She specialises in Employment and Social Security Law.
She began her career as a teacher, delivering the module of Employment Training and Guidance in the advanced vocational training module.
Subsequently, after completing the Master’s Degree in International Labour Law at the Sagardoy Foundation, she specialised in advising senior management personnel and providing legal advice to companies, offering her clients preventive advice on labour relations matters, as well as legal assistance before the Courts in all types of legal proceedings at all levels. She has also been involved in collective redundancies and temporary lay-offs.
In addition, she specialises in expatriation matters, advising companies on the international relocation of their key personnel, drafting their internal policies, individual communications to expatriates and assisting them in making decisions on the return of displaced persons.
In recent years, she has also specialised in equality issues and has designed and negotiated numerous equality plans and measures, supporting both public and private companies in their implementation, in the engineering, audiovisual production, construction, chemical and commercial sectors. In addition, as a specialist in anti-discrimination law, she assists companies in implementing diversity plans within their organisations.
Currently, she continues to teach by delivering courses and lectures on labour matters, both in companies and in specialist associations and forums. She is an Honorary Collaborator in the Master’s Degree in Access to the Legal Profession at the Complutense University of Madrid, and has authored numerous publications.
