Ángel Díez Bajo holds a Law Degree from the University of Valladolid, a Master’s Degree in Industrial and Intellectual Property and Information Technologies from the University of Alicante (Magister Lvcentinvs [Master in Intellectual Property and Digital Innovation]), and a specialist Master’s Degree in Commercial Law from the Complutense University. In 2007, he became a member of the Madrid Bar Association and since then has been known for his practical vocation and passion for law.
Díez has solid experience with national and international clients in a wide variety of high-profile and sometimes multi-million dollar disputes. He has won a high percentage of judgments in cases involving patents, trademarks, designs, intellectual property, unfair competition and advertising, in Spanish courts and involving other European, American and Asian States. He has also handled disputes for debtors, creditors, partners and shareholders of large estates.
He has worked for a number of leading companies in sectors such as technology, telecommunications, entertainment, chemical and scientific industries, textiles, distribution and transport, automotive, food and beverages. Díez’s way of working is based on his intuition, approach and business strategy, acquired over the years as part of the team of renowned international law firms, or as founder of his own law firm or with other colleagues in his discipline.
Díez also teaches on the Master’s Degree in Digital Law at the University of Salamanca and the Master’s Degree in Intellectual Property at the Charles III University of Madrid, and is a trainer at various public institutions and Bar Associations. He is also a press, radio and television contributor, and a speaker at courses organised by the World Intellectual Property Organisation.
He is an active member of INTA [International Trademark Association], APAA [Asian Patent Attorneys Association], AIPPI [International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property] or ANDEMA [Association for Brand Defence], and is also included in the most prestigious professional rankings of the legal sector such as Best Lawyers and WTR 1000.
